Can I travel to Spain? Amber list quarantine rules and restrictions explained (latest Government announcement)

Recent Government announcement: The UK Transport Department have recently confirmed the long-awaited changes to England’s travel restrictions, which we’ve summarised below.

From 19 July, fully-vaccinated travellers and children arriving from amber-list countries will no longer require isolation for 10 days on their return to England.

So, what does this mean for holiday makers and potential property buyers in Spain?

As of Monday 19 July at 4am, if you are fully vaccinated with an NHS administered vaccine in the UK can travel to Spain without needing to quarantine on their return. This is on the basis that you complete a pre-departure test before arrival into England, alongside a PCR test on or before day 2 after arrival.

Children under the age of 18 will not have to isolate when returning to England either, and the recommendation that people should not travel to amber countries is being removed.
